The idea behind STEL+MAR is to make unpretentious wine that is approachable yet refined. To bring this vision to life, we partnered with a 30-year winemaking veteran from Napa, California, Philip Zorn, and got to work.
Our winemaking philosophy is to let the terroir speak for itself. California is home to a diverse range of winegrowing regions and each one imparts its own unique flavor profile into a wine. For that reason, we make wine with grapes grown across California—from the rolling hills of Paso Robles in the South to the foggy, cool climate of Mendocino in North.
Each year we personally select the best lots from each harvest; we focus on wines that are single varietal, unadultered and above all, showcase the winemaker and wine region. We enter each year both optimistic and opportunistic; paying obsessive attention to the weather, the rain, cool nights, and the delicate harvest. Growing up in Canada and being driven by the changing seasons, we see vineyards in a similar light with their distinct cycle of growth, harvest and rest.
The STEL+MAR vibe is 1950s vintage California beach culture: laid-back, fun, enjoying the sun with friends. Our wines embody this vibe and we try to live it every day. Enjoy STEL+MAR with good food and good friends.

Stephanie is a Toronto-based freelance designer, illustrator and screen printer. Her in-house line is mostly inspired by the human form, exploring strong colours and negative space.
Over the years she has worked on band posters for Goldenvoice and Live Nation, among others. Illustrating and hand printing her original artworks for bands such as Radiohead, Lizzo and Childish Gambino to name a few.

Cabernet Sauvignon | California
TASTING NOTES This classically-styled Cabernet Sauvignon was made with grapes grown in select vineyards from Central and North Coast California. Full-bodied and deliciously juicy, it is ruby red in color with aromas of black currant, cherry, and toasted vanilla. The palate explodes with fresh blackberry, caramel, a hint of coffee, and is underpinned by delicate tannins. Sugar Content: 6g/L |
Chardonnay | California
TASTING NOTES A crowd-pleasing California Chardonnay with green apple, baked pear, and nutmeg aromas on the nose. Full-bodied with bright tropical fruit, butterscotch, and toasty oak spice flavors on the palate. The mouthfeel is rich and rounded with a long finish with layered acidity. Sugar Content: 5g/L |
Rosé | California TASTING NOTES This is a beautifully dry wine with peach and apricot aromas, hints of strawberry on the palate with refreshing acidity and herbal undertones.
